The micromark-extension-gfm-tagfilter is a micromark extension that adds support for GitHub Flavored Markdown's tag filter, which attempts to provide basic XSS protection by removing certain HTML tags. It is useful when you want to replicate GitHub's behavior in your markdown processing. However, it is not a substitute for proper HTML sanitization.
